The Heart of Service

Service is the essence of Christ’s heart, and the foundation of our guiding charism, “Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ.” As Cor Jesu students pursue service opportunities in their own communities and others across the country, they do so with open hearts and outstretched hands.

Summer Service Trips

Every year, Cor Jesu’s Campus Ministry team arranges a series of service trips to underserved areas in which students serve alongside fellow Apostle groups. Past trips have sent students to Appalachia to complete home improvement projects, Pennsylvania to work with developmentally-challenged children and New York City to work with elementary school students.

My service at Clelian Heights was one like no other! In helping the kids learn, they taught me many things as well. We bonded over our need for Christ and a love for the playground between classes. I couldn’t be any more grateful for this opportunity and will cherish all the memories that I made there!
